01 · Between construction phases
Reset the site between phases.
A rough clean happens while the project is still underway. Once a dust-heavy phase is complete, we clear agreed work areas so finishes, inspections or the next trade can begin on a cleaner base.

Rough clean
It is not a finished clean. The aim is a controlled site: less settled dust travelling into new work, clearer floors and surfaces that are ready for what comes next.
Scope examples
- Removing loose construction dust from floors, sills and accessible ledges
- Sweeping and vacuuming agreed rooms, corridors and staging areas
- Collecting small loose offcuts and packaging into site-provided containers
- Wiping down accessible surfaces before priming, tiling or millwork install
- Vacuuming HVAC grilles and returns within reach, where agreed
Examples only. Every project is cleaned to the written scope agreed for that site.
Timing
- Typically scheduled after demolition, rough-in or drywall sanding, and before finish trades start.
- Larger projects may plan more than one rough clean as phases move through the space.
Site readiness
- Heavy debris and bulk material removed or containerised by the site team
- Areas in scope clearly marked, with any no-go zones identified
- Power available for vacuums and lighting adequate to work safely
Not included
- Bulk debris hauling and dumpster removal
- Hazardous-material handling or abatement
- Restoration of damaged surfaces
Questions about rough cleaning
A rough clean prepares the site for continued work. A final clean addresses finished surfaces in detail once dust-producing trades are done.
Small loose debris can be gathered into site-provided containers as part of the agreed scope. Bulk hauling requires a separate assessment.
